DENKYIRA IS A PACESETTER OF AKAN TRADITIONS AND CUSTOMS - PROF. MICHAEL KWATENG

It was colourful and full of celebration when Denkyirahene Odeefuo Boa Amponsen IV crowned his installation and coronation with a Royal Dinner at Amponsen Ahenfie at Dunkwa-On-Offin.


The event was well attended by prominent chiefs, queen-mothers, businessmen and women, and Denkyira citizens. Other signatories with Denkyirahene at the High table were his wife Oheneyere Florence Kessie, Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III (Queenmother of Denkyira), Nana Ponfo Agyeman (Denkyira Agona Abusua Panin), Prof. Christopher Ameyaw Akumfi (Guest Speaker for the occasion), Hon. Stephen Asamoah Boateng ( Special Guest of Honour), etc.


In his acceptance speech, the Chairperson for the occasion, Prof. Michael Kwateng explained the significant of the Royal Dinner and described the Denkyira Kingdom as pacesetter when it comes to Introduction of traditions and customs among Akan states.


He opined that Denkyira has made another history which will be followed by other Akan groups. He called on all the participants to be proud of making a history for generations to come, and asked them to fully support the programme.
